Yes! Beginners are welcome! Almost all our members have started off with 0 experience. We will teach you everything you need to know and get you looking like a fighter.
We will never force anyone to spar or participate in contact drills, however, the option is always available, and we try to give everyone the attention and training to fit their skill level.
Please reach out to us on slack, and we can take it on a case-by-case basis.

The more times you attend practice the faster you will improve. The promotion between teams is based on the coach's discretion. If a coach does not believe you are ready to move up to the next team, do not be discouraged. Keep practicing and you will eventually be able to reach your goal. We want you to be prepared before changing teams as a safety precaution.
No. If you are on fitness team, there are no attendance requirements. Training team needs to attend 2+ practices a week. Competitive team needs to attend 3+ practices a week.
There are only practice requirements if you are signed up for Sparring Night or if you are on the Competition Team. If this applies to you, you must come to practice at least 3 times a week for the competition team and 2 times for Sparring Night. If you do not meet these requirements, you will likely continue practicing with the team that fits your skill level; however, if you are consistently not meeting the requirements, you will may not be allowed to compete.
Come to practice, engage with others at practice and at social events, volunteer when we need help setting up events, and reach out to anyone on the exec team on slack if you are interested in a leadership position or would like more ways to be involved.
